![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Later versions are expected to include the versioning, currently all previous BIM Server versions would be renamed to BIMcloud… with the date added, not indicating which version they support and there will be minor changes on the web interface as well. BIMcloud permite no solo el trabajo de diseño en tiempo real en el mismo proyecto, sino que también proporciona una plataforma de colaboración instantánea. BIMcloud Basic (previously BIM Server) is a free version of BIMcloud for use on a local server in your design studio, while the full version of BIMcloud is. Once done, the application icons will be updated from BIM Server to BIMcloud. Note that BIM Server 18 cannot be converted to a BIMcloud with the installer due to technical reasons and those projects must be migrated first with ARCHICAD 19 and reshared onto a BIMcloud that supports version 19. In this example the new update process will need you to run the installer 4 times to upgrade all components. One key difference is that the BIMcloud components (the Manager and the Server) will be updated in separate processes, which in practice means that you have to run the same installer twice.Īll existing BIM Servers and their components need to be updated to BIMcloud separately, for example if you have BIM Server 20 and BIM Server 21 installed, you can choose which one to update with the installer – same as with the previous BIM Server updates, its just now called BIMcloud. In the future there will be quarterly BIMcloud updates, without any version specific names as for the BIM Server earlier (like BIM Server 19/20/21 and their various update builds), the same installer will do the job for all versions and components. ![]() The overall functions remain the same and the fully-fledged BIMcloud will retain its name as well.Įven though it is only a name change from the users’ point of view, and the GRAPHISOFT Help Center also has an article on the upgrade process briefly here, it is worth going through the update process – I will show the before/after stages below.įirst of all I updated my ARCHICAD and BIM Server to the latest available updates: ARCHICAD 21 – 5021 and BIM Server – 6002, then downloaded the first BIMcloud (the same goes for BIMcloud and BIMcloud Basic) release, BIMcloud 2018.2. Along with the arrival of ARCHICAD 22 comes a big change in Teamwork as well, the BIM Server is replaced with BIMcloud Basic, which is a great step towards better compatibility (no need for matching builds) and allows the individual updates of ARCHICAD and the BIMcloud Basic components. ![]()
